An Established Oil Company (PSC) in Indonesia is searching a qualified candidate for permanent position in Jakarta:
TAX SUPERVISOR
Role :
Based in Jakarta, you will supervise a small team of Finance staff working across all parts of the PSC s Indonesia business on all tax matters. Your remit will include all manners of taxation, including related accounting, budgeting, forecasting, compliance and audit activities.
Requirements :
• Tertiary qualifications in Finance, accounting or a related discipline
• Professional accounting qualifications and membership of industry bodies
• 10+ years experience within a PSC Operator s Finance department
• 7+ years experience in a PSC Tax based role, ideally as a Manager
• Of the upstream oil and gas industry, and PSC accounting methodology
• Ideally a registered accountant, registered Tax Brevet (A, B & C) preferred
• Indonesian accounting standards and regulations
• Comfortable in supervising a team and developing staff
• Capable of communicating technical tax issues into lay man terms for non-finance staff
• Trustworthy and responsible with confidential information
Responsibilities :
• Ensure compliance with all tax laws
• Supervise all day to day tax matters including but not limited to Indonesian corporate income tax, branch profit tax, WHT and VAT
• Supervise our day to day relationships with all GoI Tax teams
• Supervise the full remit of tax compliance / reporting / planning / auditing / correspondence tasks and issues
• Follow changes / updates within PSC taxation, tax regulations, suggest compensatory amendments to company s procedures and policies
• Provide day to day technical advice and mentoring to cost centre representatives, and close out any outstanding tax issues
• Assist with the ongoing review of Finance and its GOI operations with the view to quantifiably improving capability
• Assist in identifying weaknesses within, and suggesting improvements to business processes and data flows as they relate to the foregoing
• Define, monitor and report on business health KPIs as they relate to the foregoing
• Ensure that all relevant reconciliations are performed monthly and reported to management
• Ensure compliance with corporate and regulatory HSES requirements
• Embed the IPC process within Finance, actively promote mentoring, training and development plans for staff, and review succession planning
