In Indonesia Murphy opened its representative  office in mid 2006, and signed its first Production Sharing Contract  (PSC) in May 2008 for the South Barito Block in South Kalimantan. This  was followed by the Semai II, Wokam II and Semai IV blocks, all in  Eastern Indonesia.  Murphy is looking to grow our position in Indonesia  and to support this we are looking to hire a Business Development Analyst.  This individual will work with the Business Development Manager and  regional New Ventures groups to investigate, evaluate, and deliver  opportunities in Indonesia and throughout S.E. Asia.
The individual should be enthusiastic, highly  numerate and have excellent English skills, with a natural ability to  summarize and communicate clearly.  The individual could be a fresh  graduate, but preferably will have 2-4 years experience in the  commercial aspects of the petroleum business and be familiar with  fundamental economic principles and spreadsheets e.g. Excel.  The  individual will be expected to summarize available opportunities, carry  out scoping economic analysis, organize data rooms, identify key issues  & risks and monitor & analyze deals done in the market to  highlight regional trends and lessons learnt.
